Sol Wise Welcomes You Today!

Grace is the favour and blessing of God

- which we do not deserve -

poured out upon us at no cost to us!

Today's Meditation

2 Timothy 2:1
Timothy, my dear son,
be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus.

This grace of God makes us strong. So says the Apostle Paul to his son-in-the-faith, Timothy.
How did the old Apostle know this?
In his second letter to the Corinthians Paul wrote this:

2 Corinthians 11:
24 Five different times the Jewish leaders gave me thirty-nine lashes.
25 Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked. Once I spent a whole night and a day adrift at sea.
26 I have traveled on many long journeys. I have faced danger from rivers and from robbers. I have faced danger from my own people, the Jews, as well as from the Gentiles.
I have faced danger in the cities, in the deserts, and on the seas. And I have faced danger from men who claim to be believers but are not.
27 I have worked hard and long, enduring many sleepless nights. I have been hungry and thirsty and have often gone without food. I have shivered in the cold, without enough clothing to keep me warm.
28 Then, besides all this, I have the daily burden of my concern for all the churches.

What had made the Apostle strong during these times of stress and trial?
He was kept strong through the grace that God gave him, in Christ Jesus.

We too must learn, like this faithful servant of God, how to allow the grace of God in Christ Jesus, to give us the strength we need for living

Prayer:
Father, today I receive Your grace which was bought and paid for by the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ; and which was made available to me through this coming back alive from death.
Thanks for new strength showered upon me today through this wonderful grace,
in Jesus' name,
Amen.
